Synagogue Woman a Sisterhood Member
The
history of Temple Israel and its Sisterhood are one and
the same. Since the founding of the synagogue, the Sisterhood
has been its energetic, generous and dependable partner.
As we begin a New Year, the Sisterhood is proud to recommit
ourselves to the renaissance that is underway on Granby
Street and to the continuing growth of our proud institution.
The Sisterhood enriches the congregation through a host
of activities including study groups, Book Clubs and catering.
We prepare Kiddushim and provide beautiful flowers for
Yom Tovim and Shabbat services. We give financial support
for the Sunday religious school and work closely with the
Men's Club and synagogue board to achieve collaborative
aims. We are particularly eager to welcome our members
and Jewish persons from throughout the community to our
Judaica Shop, which offers an excellent selection of products
and returns all profits to our synagogue.
The women of Temple Israel, united in our desire to build
strong Jewish families, practice meaningful rituals and
make lasting contributions to the life of the congregation,
look forward to a rewarding and uplifting year. The secret
to our success, however, lies with you. Make time for Temple
Israel. Answer the call when your skills are needed. As
your new co-Presidents, we are anxious to involve every
woman in making our Temple a place in which all women can
feel comfortable and valued. We are confident that the
friends you make, the tasks you complete and the programs
you attend will truly enhance your life.
May we continue to support each other and Judaism in the
year ahead.
